A few things worth knowing first.
Straight answers about accounts, introductions, preview data, and the platform's scope.
FirstContact helps organize access and context. Signing up is not an investment offer, an endorsement, or a promise of funding.
Who can create an account?
The account flow supports participants seeking capital or support and investors deploying capital. Participant categories include startups, institutions, and individuals. Choosing a category helps shape the dashboard; it does not certify eligibility for any particular investor or program.
Do I need a pitch deck or an invitation?
The account creation form does not require a pitch deck or a participant setup code. A code is used for the separate task of connecting an existing invited participant record. You can start with an account and complete your profile afterward.
Will signing up send emails to investors?
No. Account creation and intake do not authorize a campaign. Live outreach requires message-specific approval and the platform's additional checks. You should be able to review the recipient, the facts, and the actual message before approval.
What is available, and what is a preview?
Account access, profile and participant workflows, catalogue interactions, and planning tools have implemented interfaces. Their availability depends on the deployment, your role, and any required account or record state.
Research, generated drafts, and delivery rely on configured external services and approvals. Examples and assumed conversion rates are not your results. The capital lifecycle research is a proposed direction, including capabilities that are not live. Read the status labels where you use a feature.
Does a score or an introduction mean someone will invest?
No. A fit explanation can help decide what to investigate. An introduction can start a conversation. Neither replaces the independent evaluation and decisions of the people involved, and neither guarantees a meeting or funding.
Why is FirstContact open source?
The project aims to make its design and implementation inspectable and adaptable. Contributors can review how it works and propose improvements. Public source code does not make private participant data public, and running another deployment does not grant access to this one.
Where should I go next?
Create an account if you are ready to begin. Use the getting-started guide if you already submitted an interest form or need help finding your dashboard. For implementation details and feature status, use the system page and the repository documentation.
